Notes
Authorship of this commentary was traditionally attributed to Simplicius of Cilicia, but most modern scholars believe that it is actually the work of Priscian of Lydia. In the subsequent volumes of this edition, editor Carlos Steel states that he will refer to the author as Pseudo-Simplicius (see On Aristotle on the soul 3.6-13 (2013), page 3).
