    Summary note
The exhibition presents a total of 70 works, old and recent, from one of the most internationally renowned Brazilian artists, mostly from his extended period living in Paris between 1957 and 1980. Born in the city of Crato (CE) in 1929, Sérvulo Esmeraldo joined the National School of Fine Arts in Paris in 1957, where he made a leap towards abstractism that became one of the hallmarks of his work.
