Summary note
These two commemorative postcards were published for loyal readers of the twin children's literary magazines, Shōnen sekai (World of boys) and Shōjo sekai (World of girls). For both magazines, Iwaya Sazanami (1870-1933) was the editor-in-chief, and a photograph of him appears on both cards in the upper right. In the lower left-hand corner, there is a photograph of Kurushima Takehiko (1874-1960), who was in charge of the lecture division of both magazines. Photographs of the editors at both magazines appear in the upper left-hand corner. The editor for "World of girls" was Numata Kasamine, and the editor for "World of boys" was Takemi Kasui. At center are covers of the respective magazines, dating from 1910.
