    Summary note
    The statistics contained in this publication are the results of two National Surveys conducted by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. The two surveys are the Starts and Completions Survey, which records the beginning and completion of construction work on a building, and is carried out monthly in urban areas with populations in excess of 50,000 as defined by the 2011 Census; and the Market Absorption Survey, which provides information on whether or not a unit has been sold or rented after its completion, and is carried out in conjunction with the Starts and Completions Survey.--Includes text from document.
