One volume is a re-creation of the artist's book (1 sheet ([1] p)., 200 x 37 cm., folded to 10 x 18 cm.); the other volume ([12] p., 18 cm.), contains explanatory material.
Original artist's book by Blaise Cendrars and Sonia Delaunay published in 1913 in Paris by Éditions des hommes nouveaux.
"This book was printed by letterpress in an edition of 150 copies, with 30 hors commerce. The paper is Rives Heavyweight for La Prose, the booklet, and the booklet wrapper. The vellum cover was freely hand-painted with acrylic paint. The type was licensed from the Palace of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco. The digital scans were manipulated by printer Richard Seibert, who printed all the parts of the project ... The one hundred pochoir plates ... were cut in 2017 by Kitty Maryatt ... Five display copies were completed by Kitty Maryatt and her assistant Chris Yuengling-Niles under the supervision of Christine Menguy at Atelier Coloris in Ploubazlanec, France from June through August 2017...
