Summary note
The 3 volume set for Life in the Pacific in the 1700s document the Honolulu Academy of Arts exhibition of the same name--one of the most important ever organized in Hawai'i. The exhibition gave access to hundreds of artefacts collected by Capt. Cook during his second and third voyages into the Pacific allowing you to view full colour images of the material culture artefacts, with very basic descriptions.
