Summary note
Recently single, Julia was looking forward to the future in a cozy new LA bachelorette home. Then she learned that her brother had been diagnosed with brain cancer. He moved in with her, their parents arrived from Washington State, and before long Sweeney found out that she was suffering from a rare form of cervical cancer. Originally routines performed at a small comedy club, her story became radio vignettes, and finally a one-woman stage show.
