    Summary note
    Consists of 37 black-and-white photographs (silver prints) of a trip in Greece in autumn 1933. Jean Stierlin, a Swiss artist, accompanied by Paul Michaēlidēs and Dr. Maurer visited several historical and archaeological places of Greece. Included are the Monastery of Prodromos and the Monastery of Philanthrōpēnōn (also known as the monastery of Agios Nikolaos Spanos) in the island of Iōannina, a photograph of Jean Stierlin and his company, the gorge of Vikos in Monodendri, the valley and the inn of Baldouma, the Grevenitēs river, and many views of Metsovov. The photographs measure 11.5 x 11.4 cm. There are handwritten captions in French on the verso of the boards. Album is bound in brown leather on hard boards.
