    A collection of sayings, anecdotes, historical extracts and miscellaneous notices divided into five divisions: (1) on the virtue of learning and literature, (2) on love and the days of youth, (3) on kings and rulers, letters and correspondence, (4) anecdotes selected from history and striking events, and (5) on various arts and other subjects. Incomplete at end.

    • Description: Headings in indigo and red ; watermarks (crown-star-crescent) ; MS in fair condition but several folios are worm-eaten and mended.
    • Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم. الحمد لله المتفضل المنعم المنّان الذى خلق الانسان وعلمه البيان ... اما بعد فهذا كتاب جمعته من كتب كثيرة فيه من الفرائد العجائب

    Contemporaneous? type II (with flap) binding in brown leather. Blind-stamped central design and blind-tooled edging on covers. Similar decoration on flap. Not currently sewn.
