    Summary note
    • v. 1. Hangeul, the birth of the great letters: Discusses the history and legacy of Hangeul, Korea's phonetic alphabet, which was initially developed in the 15th century to replace Chinese characters for use by the common people. Hangeul is said to have been created by King Sejong, who also established the Chiphyŏnjŏn, an academic research institute and library.
    • v. 2. Hangeul, three stories: During 15th century, Se Jong, who introduced Hangeul as the national language in Korea, is known as one the best leaders in Korean history. The ancient Indian language is an ancestor to many Indian languages and Asian languages. Some Hangeul letters are similar to Gujarat letters, and have also gained worldwide recognition. In France, fashion designers use Hangeul letters for their fashion exhibitions.
    • v. 3. Hangeul, be a star in Zandvoort: In October 2008, a racing car covered with Hangeul is introduced at the Motor Sports Worldcup, A1 Stadium, Zandvoort, Netherlands. The Korean team, among 25 participating countries around the world, showcased a machine covered with Hangeul, containing the names of Koreans.
