Summary note

"The North Korean squad at 43GP (Guard Post) in the eastern frontier on the North Korean side of the demilitarized zone (DMZ) never hesitate to pass ideology-based judgment even on goods brought from South Korea since they think 'Even a soccer ball is based on ideology!' The squad leader of the North Korean troop likes soccer so much that he even memorizes all the names of the members of the South Korean national soccer team. During a search operation, the squad leader and his troops chase a boar while patrolling the DMZ border. They come face to face with soldiers from South Korea. Tension soon melts away, and they roast and share the boar. The World Cup in 2002 sparks heightened interest in soccer among North Korean troops. The goodwill of the South Korean squad plays a part in helping them open their hearts, albeit slowly, and the North Korean troops start secret exchanges with their South Korean counterparts. The North Korean squad catches the radio frequency of South Korea and listens to the broadcast of the World Cup taking place in South Korea."--Korean Movie Database (KMDb).
