    Treatise on the imamate consisting of a muqaddimah, five bāb, and a khātimah; contents listed on fol. 3b-7b. Written in 937 H [1530 or 31] for Safavid Shah Tahmāsp [r. 1524-1576] (Āghā Buzurg, XXIII, 195).

    • Physical description: 21 lines per page; written in naskh in black on glazed, laid European paper. Rubrication and catchwords. Some damp staining and foxing, particularly at beginning and end of text block; paper repairs to first nine and last two leaves.
    • Origin: Dated 1212 H [1797 or 8] (fol. 1b). On fol. 296a the scribe is stated to be Muḥammad, with the remainder of his name effaced.
    • Incipit: الحمد لله ذي اللطف والاحسان والفضل والامتنان والعظمة والسلطان
    Binding note
    Full brown leather, with gold-stamped central mandorla and pendants on front cover only; spine and edges repaired with modern leather.
