Summary note
The study focuses briefly on the evolution of IT education within the framework of globalization, and, the rise of the information society in the West and the IT industry in India. It broadly addresses the issues of economy and education in shaping the direction of IT education and their implications for the accessibility of social groups in India in general, and Andhra Pradesh in particular. The book also analyses the relationship between the socioeconomic background of aspirants such as caste, rural/urban income, and gender, and their access to IT education.
Notes
