"Le De anima alchimique est un ouvrage d'alchimie faussement attribué à Avicenne. Il s'agit de la compilation et de la traduction latine (l'ordre de ces deux étapes est inconnu) de trois traités arabes perdus à ce jour. Malgré son obscurité, ce texte, d'inspiration jābirienne, a joui d'un très large retentissement dans le monde latin aux XIIIe et XIVe siècles, au point de devenir une des sources alchimiques majeures de l'encyclopédiste Vincent de Beauvais. Le présent ouvrage offre une étude historique et philologique du texte, ainsi que la première édition critique, accompagnée d'une traduction française abondamment annotée."--P. [4] of cover.
